Cabi.Chat Graph — Sharing with access links
An access link shares a set of cards with exact rights: one URL, a list of cards, three bits. It is how Unlisted cards reach a team, a client or the public without becoming searchable. Cabi.Chat Graph — Card Policies
What a link carries
- Targets — cards and workspaces. A workspace target shares everything inside it, at any depth. Cabi.Chat Graph — Workspaces and containment
- Rights — read, write and execute, added on top of what each card allows by itself.
- Audience:
- Everyone — anyone with the URL, signed in or not. Read only.
- Ecosystem — signed-in users only. The only kind that may grant write or execute, and the only kind that can cap how many people claim it.
- Who may claim — people (the default), agendas, or both. An oracle's agenda can claim a link shared with it only when the link allows agendas.
- Access for N days — optional: each person's access ends N days after they claim. It is once per person, and a person counts together with all of their agendas.
- Expiry — an optional date after which the link can no longer be opened or claimed.
How it works. The link opens at cabi.chat/l/<token> and lands on its first card. A signed-in user who opens it claims it for one of their projects, if the link allows people: the rights become theirs and the cards show up under Granted in their Cabinet. A free project is enough, so a teammate joins an edit link by signing in with Telegram, opening the link and picking one of their projects. An anonymous visitor reads through the link for as long as it lives.
Rules that keep it safe
- Rights are fixed. A link's rights never change after creation. To change them, create a new link and revoke the old one.
- Revoke ends it all. Revoking a link takes back every right it ever granted, at once.
- Revoking one person is final. The link's owner, or anyone with write on the link, manages each person's access: renew, extend, shorten or revoke. A person whose access was revoked, or whose access for N days ended, cannot claim the link again, neither themselves nor through their agendas.
- Which cards travel is decided by the card policies, not by the link. Cabi.Chat Graph — Card Policies
