Cabi.Chat UTMs
Every link you share can tell you where the visitor came from. Add a few tags to the end of the link, and Cabi.Chat records them with the visit.
The link
https://cabi.chat/@your-project-handle?utm_source=channel-name&utm_campaign=@camp.autumn
- utm_source: where the link lives. A channel, a chat, a newsletter, a partner.
- utm_campaign: which campaign it belongs to. The campaign's @handle, its handle without @, or its nonce: all three count for the same campaign.
- optional: utm_medium, utm_content, utm_term, if you want finer detail.
Where the link can point
- Any page on cabi.chat: the project page or any card of the project, an article, a post. The visit counts for the project the card belongs to.
- Your own website, once its domain is verified and the Cabi.Chat tag is on its pages Cabi.Chat Analytics — Track your own website. A link there tagged with a campaign,
https://example.com/?utm_source=channel-name&utm_campaign=@camp.autumn, counts for that campaign, landed on your project.

Good to know
- Values are trimmed and cut to 120 characters, and matched exactly as written. Keep them short and stable:
tg-designers, not a sentence. - On cabi.chat the tags are removed from the address bar once the visit is recorded, so a link copied further does not carry your tags.
- Tag the link, not the destination. One campaign can point to several projects, posts or your website; the campaign view shows where each visit landed.
